DirecTV Inc. began offering 72 channels from XM Satellite Radio Tuesday, including music, children's and talk fare.
Among offerings added to the direct-broadcast satellite provider’s lineup free-of-charge were XM's Major League Baseball "Home Plate" talk-radio channel and its “High Voltage” channel, which features talk-radio stars Opie and Anthony.
The direct-broadcast satellite provider said customers subscribing to its “Total Choice” programming package will have access to 50 XM channels, and those subscribing to the “Total Choice Plus” programming package and above will have access to more than 65.
The company added that “DirecTV Para Todos” customers will have access to the same XM channels, as well as five additional Latin music channels.
