DirecTV to Offer Back-to-Back Live Sports Events in 4K

DirecTV will continue its 4K live sports telecasts this Thursday with the broadcast of both a Major League Baseball and Premier League soccer game, the satellite service said Wednesday.

DirecTV will offer in 4K the Manchester City-Manchester United soccer match tomorrow afternoon, followed by the New York Yankees-Boston Red Sox baseball telecast Thursday night. This telecasts mark the first time DirecTV has aired two live sporting events back-to-back on the same day in 4K, said company officials.

In the past 12 months the satellite TV service has offered several sports events in 4K including The Masters golf tournament, NCAA College Basketball and NBA games, UFC fights, PGA tournaments, Notre Dame football games, the Rio Olympics and the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am.
