Discovery To Air 'Ardi' Special

Discovery Channel will present a two-hour special, followed by a one-hour roundtable discussion digging into "Ardi," a hominid skeleton that is the subject of a paper in the October edition of Science.

Researchers maintain that Ardi is the oldest discovered skeleton from the Hominid branch of primates, to which humans belong.

Discovering Ardi will air Oct. 11 from 9-11 p.m. The special will be followed by a one-hour roundtable Explaining Ardi, produced by CBS News and hosted by former CNN and CBS anchor Paula Zahn, who has a development deal with Discovery sister network Investigation Discovery.
