Discovery Channel has a sequel to Walking with Dinosaurs in the works with the British Broadcasting Corp.-a three-hour miniseries called Walking with Prehistoric Beasts.
The sequel and its 90-minute companion special will tell the story of the creatures that inherited Earth when the dinosaurs died off 65 million years ago. In April, Dinosaurs was seen by an average of 10.7 million viewers, which made it the most-watched nonsporting event on cable during the last season.
The network's big event later this year will be its third "Watch with the World" program, Inside the Space Station, which premieres Dec. 10. The show, about the still-to-be-completed International Space Station, will debut around the world in primetime in 149 countries and 27 languages. The space station, when it is completed in 2005, will be the third-brightest object in the night sky, visible to the naked eye.
