Discovery Channel’s 'North America' Draws 3.4 Million Viewers

Network’s Top-Rated National History Telecast Since 2010

Discovery Channel’s debut of North America Sunday night drew 3.4 million viewers, the network said Monday.

The premiere of North America stands as the highest rated natural history telecast across key demos since Life premiered on March 21, 2010, according to network officials. The North America premiere was up +133% vs. the Jan. 8, 2013 premiere of Africa and up 7% vs. the March 18, 2012 premiere of Frozen Planet.

The six-part series will continue Sunday at 9 p.m., said network officials.
