Discovery Communications said fourth-quarter revenue jumped 16% to $899 million, while its revenue for 2006 climbed 13% to $3.01 billion.
Operating cash flow increased 5% for the quarter to $194 million and 5% for the year to $722 million, Discovery said Wednesday.
The company -- which named former NBC Universal Cable president David Zaslav CEO in November -- said revenue at its U.S. Networks division increased 16% in the fourth quarter to $516 million and 10% for the year to $1.93 billion.
Discovery attributed growth in paid subscribers and license fees charged to affiliates for a 13% increase in distribution revenue for the quarter. Net advertising revenue increased 14% for the quarter and 2% for 2006, the company said.
