Discovery Networks has promoted Andrea Kolb to vice president and national sales manager for advertising sales. She had been sales manager.
In her new role, Kolb will oversee ad sales for six networks, including Discovery Times Channel, Discovery Home Channel, Military Channel, The Science Channel, Discovery HD Theater, Discovery Kids Channel, as well as the "Discovery Kids on NBC" programming block. She’ll report to Ken Ripley, vice president for sales development, advertising sales, Discovery Networks U.S.
Kolb’s responsibilities will include developing pricing strategies and sponsorship opportunities. Additionally, she will function as the ad sales liaison to each of the networks she represents.
