Discovery Hispanic Group Forms Ad-Sales Team


Discovery Communications Inc.’s Discovery Networks US Hispanic Group announced Tuesday that it has formed a specialized advertising-sales team.

The new team -- representing the programmer’s expanded portfolio of Spanish-language networks -- will be based in Los Angeles, New York, Miami and Chicago.

Victor Parada has been named director of advertising sales for the US Hispanic Group. He had been managing the company’s ad-sales effort in Mexico and other Latin American markets. Parada will be based in Miami.

William Lopez has joined the company as regional manager, advertising sales, East Coast, based in New York. He has ad-sales experience with Univision Communications Inc. and Fox Sports en Español.

The company said it is still recruiting regional sales managers for Los Angeles and Chicago.
