Discovery Hosts Multiplatform Skyscraper Experience

On Nov. 2, tightrope walker Nik Wallenda will head to Chicago for his most challenging walk yet, causing Discovery to launch a chance for viewers to stream live from the Windy City.

Skyscraper Live with Nik Wallenda airs live at 7 p.m. in more than 220 countires. The digital destination is available in 60 countries and and 14 languages, taking the audience behind the scenes with videos and the chance to see the view from Wallenda's eyes.

This will be his steepest and first two-part walk, crossing over about eight stories. The multiplatform content was created by the Discovery team from his previous Skywire Live experience, where they won an Interactive Emmy for Multiplatform Storytelling.

Chris Jacobs is set to host the digital experience, available for viewers on Nov. 2 at 6 p.m. through Wired In at SkyscraperLive.com.

With the 360-degree virtual tour and a a 3D interactive view, fans will be able to go through an aerial tour of Chicago.

Viewers can track the event on Twitter, Facebook and Vine as the challenge unfolds Sunday night.
