Discovery Int’l to Launch Oprah’s ‘Belief’

Series Depicts Spiritual Journeys Through Eyes of Believers

Discovery Networks International will begin airing OWN: The Oprah Winfrey Network series Belief in December in  more than 220 countries and territories on  its factual and lifestyle networks worldwide.

Narrated by Winfrey, Belief is an original documentary series that depicts spiritual journeys through the eyes of believers.

Belief depicts how people with a wide range of beliefs search for deeper meaning and connection with the world around them.

“For the past three years, my team and I have been working to find the most compelling and thoughtful stories of faith, love and devotion from around the world,” Winfrey said in a statement. “This has been my heart’s work, to be able to share stories like these that reflect our world and explore humankind’s ongoing search to connect with something greater than ourselves. My intention was that the series would speak to people around the world, and I am thrilled the series can now be seen by millions of viewers worldwide.”

The international Belief rollout is designed to maximize its impact at relevant times around the globe:

  • Asia Pacific (December-January)
  • Northern Europe (December)
  • Southern Europe (December)
  • Central and Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa (January)
  • Latin America (March)
