Discovery Communications Inc.'s iMedia division has launched a broadband showcase section on the company's flagship Web site (www.discovery.com).
The site will feature streaming audio and video of previews from American Hot Rod, Trading Spaces, The Jeff Corwin Experience and other programs. Other content includes blooper reels from American Chopper, a how-to section from Discovery Home Channel and interactive games from Travel Channel's World Poker Tour.
Discovery will provide a link from the Web site to cable's Go2Broadband site (cpss.go2broadband.com) to help operators sell their high-speed cable-modem services.
Microsoft Corp.’s MSN is the charter sponsor of a special section in the showcase devoted to Discovery's new Seven Wonders series, and DaimlerChrysler is sponsoring the program No Opportunity Wasted (Now!).
