Discovery Marketing Chief Departing

Chris Miller has resigned as executive vice president of marketing at
Discovery Networks U.S., effective Aug. 1, a spokeswoman confirmed.

Miller, who moved over from Discovery.com marketing chief to replace Chris
Moseley in February 2001, wants to return to New York City, from which she's
been commuting for three years, the spokeswoman said.

The search for her replacement will begin immediately.

Moseley now is executive vice president at Hallmark Channel.

Miller led the development of Discovery Channel's newly
launched 'Entertain Your Brand' campaign, as well as marketing efforts
supporting such programs as James Cameron's Expedition Bismarck and
Blue Planet: Seas of Life, TLC's Trading Spaces and Animal
Planet's The Jeff Corwin Experience and The Future Is Wild

,
the company said.

Interestingly, several other execs promoted at the same time as Miller was in
February '01, have since left, including Jonathan Rodgers, John Ford and Kathy
Quattrone.
