Discovery Names Key Marketing Execs


Discovery Networks U.S. has named Lisa Delligatti senior vice president of
affiliate sales and marketing.

Delligatti was a member of the launch sales staff for Discovery Channel from
1987-1997. She will report to Bill Goodwyn, U.S. executive VP of affiliate sales
and marketing.

Delligatti will oversee Discovery's field-sales efforts, with specific
responsibility for the Northern and Southern regions, monitoring the achievement
of the company's sales and marketing goals there.

A 16-year cable veteran, she most recently served as VP, sales strategy and
distribution, Southern region, for Comedy Central.

At Comedy, in that job, she also served as VP of sales strategy and
distribution for The Tennis Channel, where she led the development of the
national sales strategy and execution for that network’s May 2003 launch.

Discovery also named Matt Kochan VP, marketing strategy, affiliate sales and
marketing. He most recently was director of retention and partnership marketing
at AT&T Broadband.

And the programmer promoted Kelly Picciotta to director of marketing,
national accounts, affiliate sales and marketing, reporting to McFarling. She
was an account director and team leader in Discovery's affiliate-sales and
marketing department, where she managed affiliate-sales accounts in New York and
