Looking to drive viewers to Discovery Channel's Dec. 9 Walking with
Prehistoric Beasts
, Discovery Networks U.S. is supporting the special with
cross-promotional spots and a programming marathon on its digi-nets this

Discovery Science Channel will air Countdown to Beasts Dec. 8 and 9,
featuring programs dealing with the evolution from dinosaurs to other
prehistoric creatures. On tap: Paleoworld, Planet of Life,
Ancient Oceans, Nature's Death Traps, Extinction Files,
Ice Age Survivors, Planet of Life and When Dinosaurs

Discovery Channel -- as well as Discovery Digital Networks, including
Discovery Science Channel, Discovery Civilization Channel, Discovery Wings
Channel and Discovery Home & Leisure Channel -- will also cross-promote the
digital stunt and the Walking with Prehistoric Beasts premiere Dec. 9 at
7 p.m.

Walking with Prehistoric Beasts -- featuring computer-generated images of
prehistoric mammals -- is the sequel to Walking with Dinosaurs, the
highest-rated show in Discovery Channel history.
