Discovery Channel will present special advance screenings of The Flight That Fought Back in movie theaters in 15 cities across the country Sept. 7, officials said Monday.
Discovery and Regal Cinemas are partnering to present these complimentary, invitation-only screenings to many of the communities of the 33 passengers and seven crew members of United Airlines Flight 93 who sacrificed their lives on Sept. 11, 2001. Family and friends of the heroes of Flight 93, community leaders and officials will be invited to attend the 90-minue special screenings.
The Flight That Fought Back, which airs Sept. 11 at 9 p.m. on Discovery Channel, features persona accounts of witnesses and first-time interviews with families and friends of those who died on Flight 93.
The film will air in its entirety without commercial interruption.
