Discovery Channel, TLC and Animal Planet revealed a new original programming entries, and returning favorites, to their lineups at the programmers session at the 2015 TCA winter press tour.
Adam Savage and Jamie Hyneman are back for new episodes of Discovery's longest running show, Mythbusters, where they uncover myths from The Simpsons, Indiana Jones, video games and more. Fresh installments begin on Jan. 10 at 9 p.m.
TLC is set to unveil the nine-part series My Big Fat Fabulous Life starring Whitney Thore, known for her YouTube video, A Fat Girl Dancing.
When Thore was diagnosed with Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome, she gained over 200 pounds, but was eager to continue her passion for dancing. She encourages self-love in her personal struggles in the series, which premieres Jan. 13 at 10 p.m.
Other series new this spring include, Animal Planet's Matt On The Run, and New Girls On The Block. In Matt On The Run, weekend adventurer Matt Galland and his best friends take on 100 miles in the wild to conquer Mother Nature’s challenges.
New Girls on the Block follows a group of transgender women from Kansas City, Mo., as they confront issues with their family, friends and relationships. The new series premieres April 2 at 10 p.m.
