Dish Adds Int’l Nets

EchoStar Communications Corp.’s Dish Network direct-broadcast satellite service announced the additions of two networks to its international programming lineup.

TRACE TV, a 24-hour French-language music-video channel, and Zee Network's Indian channel, Alpha ETC Punjabi, have been added to Dish’s international offerings.

“TRACE TV adds a new dimension to Dish Network's growing selection of French entertainment," Dish vice president of international programming Tracy Thompson said in a prepared statement. "We are excited to connect our subscribers to the best in urban music and the global artists who create their favorite hits. TRACE TV's emphasis on multicultural entertainment complements our position as the industry leader in international programming.”

As for Zee Network’s service, Thompson said, “Alpha ETC Punjabi adds a layer of diversity within Dish Network's growing lineup of popular Indian channels. This channel, in particular, will engage viewers with original entertainment that is unique to the Punjabi culture.”
