Dish Becomes Exclusive U.S. Provider of Two Polish Nets

Dish Network has launched TV Silesia and Radio Silesia on its Polish programming platform, making the satellite provider the exclusive U.S. provider of both channels, officials said Monday.

TV Silesia is a Polish TV network offering the latest in news, general entertainment, travel and sports programming—including Poland’s own version of the American show, Cops. The channel also features popular Polish movies, documentaries and features.

Radio Silesia is a radio network providing current hits and popular music from the Silesia region. Radio programming highlights include everyday news, Polish and European music, interesting interviews, tidbits from Poland and around the world, and more.

“Dish Network offers the widest variety and biggest selection of Polish programming,” Eric Sahl, Dish Network’s senior vice president of programming, said in a prepared statement. “We’re thrilled to expand our existing Polish programming, providing customers in the U.S. with exclusive access to TV Silesia and Radio Silesia—and even more ways to connect with their culture.”

TV Silesia is available on Dish Network Channel 757 as an add-on to any Polish programming package for $5.99 a month, including the Polish Premium Package featuring three Polish-language channels, the four-channel Polish Super Pack, and the TVN Complete Package which features the best in entertainment live from Poland.

The channel can also be purchased a la carte for $9.99 a month, and Radio Silesia, located on Channel 756, is included for free with both options.

Dish Network subscribers also have the option to try TV Silesia and Radio Silesia for free from Dec. 17 to Jan. 7 next year.
