Dish Hires a Sleuth

EchoStar Communications Corp.’s Dish Network wants NBC Universal Cable’s help in solving some crimes.

The direct-broadcast satellite service launched the programmer’s Sleuth, a 24-hour network dedicated to the crime, mystery and suspense genres.

Shows featured on the service include Miami Vice, Knight Rider, The A-Team and Homicide: Life on the Streets, and the network also airs movies such as Scarface, Casino, Daylight and The Jackal.

EchoStar said Sleuth is available to customers who subscribe to its “America's Top 180” programming package for $49.99 per month or its “America's Everything Pack” for $84.99.
