Disney Channel in Movie Mood

While Hilary Duff has transcended media by taking Disney Channel's most
popular show, Lizzie McGuire, to the big screen, the cast of another
network series will go the telepic route.

The Even Stevens Movie -- set to bow June 13 at 8 p.m. and starring Shia
LaBeouf (Holes) and Christy Carlson Romano (Kim Possible) -- will
mark the first time a Disney Channel original comedy series gets the
original-movie treatment.

Speaking of Lizzie, Disney will parse out one of its few remaining
unseen episodes of the hit series Friday night at 7:30 p.m.

In the episode, Lizzie embarks on a makeover for her oddball classmate, Larry
Tudgeman, while Matt McGuire meets his match when assigned a school project with
senior citizens Marge and Moe. Emmy Award-winning actress Eileen Brennan and
character actor Dabbs Greer guest-star.

A Disney Channel spokeswoman said five more original McGuire
installments remain in the can. They will premiere intermittently through next
Valentine's Day.

Meanwhile, The Lizzie McGuire Movie, which opened May 2, had grossed
some $28 million at the box office through last weekend.
