Disney Channel Sounds Spanish-Language Versions of HSM2 Songs

Spanish-language versions of songs from top telepic High School Musical 2 and main title themes from a pair of its original series are among the Disney Channel highlights viewers will find during Hispanic Heritage month.

The music pieces, as seen on Disney Channel Spain and Disney Channels in Latin America, will be presented throughout the domestic network’s schedule.

The HSM2 songs are performed by Mexico's Paulina Holguin joined by Roger Gonzalez for their rendition of You are the Music in Me (Eres La Musica en Mi), the upbeat tune that tells the story of how music brought Troy and Gabriella together. Spain’s recording artists Mota also weigh in with their version. Both videos are interspersed with scenes from the movie.

Moreover, Holguin offers up Gotta Go My Own Way (Por Mi Camino Iré), while Mota covers All for One, in a music video that features original choreography filmed in Spain and scenes from the movie's closing anthem.

Elsewhere, Disney Channel will air Spanish-language versions of main title theme songs Cory in the House (Cory en La Casa Blanca) and The Suite Life of Zack & Cody (Zack yCody: Gemelos en Acción) as interstitials through Oct. 15.

Selena Gomez, a 15-year-old Mexican-American actress who is starring in the network’s upcoming series, Wizards of Waverly Place, will introduce the show. The comedy set in a bi-lingual Manhattan residence home to three teen who are budding wizards, bows on Oct. 12.

For the preschool set, Disney Channel will present as short segments Spanish-language versions of songs from series, including Mickey Mouse Clubhouse (La Casa de Mickey Mouse) and My Friends Tigger and Pooh (Mis Amigos Tigger y Pooh). Aditionally, two new themed episodes of the popular series Handy Manny and Johnny and the Sprites will premiere on Sept. 15
