Disney Channel will look to offer tips on good nutrition and agriculture in a series of interstitials airing Nov. 1, said network officials.

The kids-targeted network will air six installments of its short-form series Pass The Plate to help foster kids’ understanding of the connection between good nutrition, local agricultural production and natural resources. The installments include a visit to a bio-integrated aquaponics system, a look at the preservation of honeybees and their essential role in agriculture, and how community members cultivate urban gardens in small spaces.

The interstitials, hosted by stars of the network’s popular Jessie series Peyton List and Karan Brar, will air Friday during the network’s night of premieres programming event, Disney said.  The "Pass the Plate" interstitial series first debuted on Disney Channel in 2008 to provide kids and families the how's and whys of food preparation and healthy choices.
