It’s official: Disney Channel was the No. 1-rated cable network in primetime last year, according to final Nielsen Media Research data released last week.
Winner Disney Channel broke a record in 2007 with its average of 2.694 million total viewers, the largest such audience ever in cable history, according to Nielsen Media Research data supplied by Disney-ABC Television Group. USA Network finished second with 2.679 million primetime viewers, just 15,000 behind Disney Channel.
In households, Disney Channel posted a 2.2 primetime rating in 2007. That amounted to 2.012 million homes, a whisker ahead of USA. USA garnered a 2.1 rating and 1.997 million households.
