Disney To Rock Out For ‘Camp Rock 2' Premiere

Disney Channel will look to build significant momentum for the Sept. 3 premiere of its Camp Rock 2 original movie through a summer Camp Rock concert tour and July movie soundtrack release.

Camp Rock 2 stars Demi Lovato and The Jonas Brothers will embark on a worldwide concert tour produced by Live Nation beginning July 27 in Dallas as part of the promotion for the movie, a sequel to Disney's 2008 hit tele-film.

In addition, the movie's 15-song soundtrack will be released July 27 on iTunes and retail music stores more than a month in advance of Camp Rock 2's Disney Channel premiere.
Fans of the movie franchise can also access beginning May 11 a Camp Rock-themed premium app for the iTouch, iPhone and iPad to buy tickets to the concert, hear music clips, and to watch videos.
The original Camp Rock film drew 10.1 million viewers in its June 2008 premiere on Disney Channel and has reached over 137 million unduplicated viewers since its release, according to the network.
