Disney’s ‘Sophia The First’ Special Draws 4.7M

Disney Channel’s Nov. 23 animated special Sofia The First: The Curse of Princess Ivy garnered 4.7 million viewers (Live +3 Nielsen ratings), the kids-targeted network said Monday.  

The special finished as the second most watched telecast of all time for the toddler-targeted series, behind the 2012 animated movie Sofia The First: Once Upon A Princess.

The special, which featured an appearance by singer Mandy Moore as the voice of Rapunzel, also finished as the top evening telecast of the year among kids 2 to 5 and Girls 2 to 5, said Disney.
