Disney Welcomes The Koala Brothers

Disney Channel is going Down Under for a new addition to its preschool block later this month.

The network will premiere The Koala Brothers, a new stop-frame animated series centering on a pair of koalas that live in the Australian Outback and work to build a better world for others, Jan. 26 with a quartet of episodes, airing from noon-2 p.m. (EST/PST).

As part of its "Australia Day" stunt, Playhouse Disney programming that day will lead into Koala Brothers with shows highlighting animals, people and places from that country.

In its regular time slot, Koala Brothers will be stripped weekdays at noon.
