DIY Sets Fall Slate

are subjects for several new Do It Yourself series and specials slated for the

Overall, the Scripps Networks service will offer more than 160 new hours of
programming in the fourth quarter through the introduction of three series, six
five-part workshops and a one-hour special.

Among new series getting launched in September are Talk2DIY
, in which viewers get answers to automotive questions; Kitchen
, offering remodeling tips; and Help on the Homefront, in
which armed-services families are provided household-repair and remodeling help
while their spouses serve overseas.

Also bowing in September are Lending a Hand: Habitat for Humanity, a
five-part workshop in which viewers are shown the steps involved in building a
Habitat for Humanity home; and Croppin' USA, a two-hour special focusing
on the art of making scrapbooks, the network said.

On tap for October and November are several series and specials focusing on
wood turning, lighting design, floors, doors and windows and tiling techniques
and a five-part Holiday Workshop series focusing on Christmas and
Hanukkah projects.
