Dobbs Makes Moneyline Comeback

Lou Dobbs will return to Cable News Network next month as anchor and managing
editor of CNN's Moneyline News Hour.

Dobbs, who exited CNN two years ago in a dispute with then-president Rick
Kaplan, will come back to the network May 14, hoping to revive its signature
business show. He will also serve as lead business anchor for CNN/U.S. and
CNNfn, which will be renamed CNN Money later this year.

In addition, Dobbs will contribute regular columns to CNNfn.com and will soon anchor a new network
program to wrap the business day. Dobbs will also take a hands-on role in
developing the revamped channel

After sitting in the anchor chair for 19 years, Dobbs will replace Stuart
Varney, who exited Moneyline last month amid reports of his unhappiness
with the network and as a protest over CNN founder Ted Turner's recent remarks
about Christians.

Moneyline's ratings have tumbled since Dobbs' departure two summers
ago.

Dobbs has spent most of his time since leaving CNN working on Internet
business Space.com.
