Cablevision Systems Corp. CEO James Dolan said he doesn’t see a serious offer for the company anytime soon, AP reported.
Dolan, speaking at the MSO’s annual shareholders’ meeting, said he would entertain offers, but it was unlikely that the company would be sold any time soon.
“If someone can come in and beat what you do ... you have to take that offer very seriously, he said, adding that Cablevision's management has "set the bar very high."
AP also reported that Mariann Dolan Weber -- daughter of company founder and chairman Charles Dolan -- has been added to Cablevision’s board of directors, replacing Thomas Dolan, one of Charles' sons, who has been on leave from the company since mid-April.
Cablevision has not said why Thomas Dolan is on leave or why he was not named for re-election to the board, according to AP.
