Former Viacom Entertainment chairman Jonathan Dolgen has resigned from Charter Communications’ board of directors, the company announced late Monday.
Dolgen, who had been a Charter board member since 2004, cited personal reasons and to make time available for other interests as reasons for his resignation.
“Jonathan has been a valuable member of Charter’s board and has made many significant contributions to the company in a variety of areas,” Charter chairman Paul Allen said in a statement. “We appreciate his years of service, and wish him well.”
Dolgen is the former chairman of Viacom Entertainment Group and is currently Principal of Wood River Ventures, LLC and serves as senior advisor to Viacom. He also serves on the board of Expedia, Inc. and Ticketmaster. His position on the Charter board will not be replaced at this time, the company said.
