Duval Dead at 71

Bennett Ernest Duval, founder of the B.E. Duval Co., a cable-equipment
distributor in San Pedro, Calif., died July 25 at his home in Santa Monica,
Calif. He was 71.

A well-known figure in cable circles since the 1960s, Duval termed himself a
'peddler deluxe,' and he had a reputation for championing his customers and for
business integrity, friends said.

His son, Glenn, who now runs Duval Co., said plans are in the works for a
night of remembrance at the upcoming Western Show.
