E! Entertainment Television has pulled NBC late-night talk show Last Call
with Carson Daly from its schedule after the show's repurposed episodes
failed to find an audience.
The show, which debuted on E! in March in the 6 p.m. time slot -- hours after
its initial 1:35 a.m. airing on NBC -- averaged around a 0.2 rating.
In an effort to boost ratings, the network in June moved Daly to 3 p.m., but
it eventually pulled the plug on the show in late August.
'We had hoped that the show would find a audience at an earlier time slot
than on NBC, but unfortunately, it failed to materialize for us,' E! executive
vice president of original programming Mark Sonnenberg said.
