Arris Group Inc. said Thursday that shipments of its “Touchstone” embedded multimedia-terminal adapters have passed the 1 million mark.
The vendor added that the total includes the “Touchstone TM102,” “TM202” and “TM402” versions.
“Arris is very pleased to have reached the 1 million-unit mark with our Touchstone VoIP [voice-over-Internet-protocol] products," Arris Broadband president Jim Lakin said in a prepared statement. “The fact that we achieved this in just over one year validates the effectiveness of cable operators in deploying VoIP services, making it a key element of the triple play."
