EarthLink is taking its broadband voice-over-Internet-protocol service into retail through a deal struck with Circuit City Stores.
Under the deal, EarthLink will market its trueVoice VoIP service in Circuit City outlets. It will offer service subscriptions and a kit including a Linksys phone adapter or a Wireless-G Router with two phone ports. Circuit City customers can also sign up for EarthLink trueVoice online at Circuit City’s Web site (www.circuitcity.com).
The $14.95 monthly trueVoice service is compatible with any home broadband connection and any home touch-tone phone. It includes unlimited local, regional and long-distance calling in the United States and Canada, plus voicemail and three-way calling.
