Time Warner Cable announced the launch of its bilingual "El
Paquetazo" Hispanic package in Texas.
The package includes a basic service tier of channels (ABC,
CBS, Fox, NBC, Telemundo and Univision, among them) as well as "English Plus"
programming from networks such as Animal Planet, CMT,
ESPN, ESPN2, Food Network and Travel Channel. It also offers Music Choice, video
on demand and high-definition channels.
The operator is offering customers the option of purchasing
the service as a standalone, bundled with Road Runner or Digital Phone, or within
a triple play.
"With the launch of El Paquetazo in Texas,
we continue to meet the needs of our growing Hispanic customer base by offering
them convenience and choice at all levels," said Jon Gary Herrera, regional
vice president of communications, Texas Region, in a statement.
Time Warner Cable serves over 1.7 million customers in more
than 200 communities in the state of Texas.
