Ellis, Raymond Co-Chair SkiTAM

VAIL, COLO. -The steering committee for "SkiTAM 2001," cable's annual fund-raising initiative to benefit the U.S. Disabled Ski Team, will be co-chaired by Time Warner Cable executive vice president Chuck Ellis and Steve Raymond, vice president of affiliate sales and marketing for ESPN's Western division.

Ellis-a former chairman and national board member of the Cable & Telecommunications Association for Marketing and a longtime supporter of the U.S. Disabled Ski Team-replaces another Time Warner Cable executive, Ginny Kaus, who retired from the company last spring.

Raymond is a founder of SkiTAM and has served as co-chair since the inception of the initiative in 1995. Kaus co-chaired the event with Raymond for its first five years.

SkiTAM will be held here April 5 through 8.

Raymond said support from the cable industry has had a meaningful impact on the U.S. Disabled Ski Team, which has been the No.-1 ranked team in the world for three consecutive years.

Since 1996, SkiTAM has raised more than $1 million in support of the team. More information is available at www.skitam.com.
