Emmys 2016: Jeffrey Tambor Repeats As Best Comedy Actor

Actor Jeffrey Tambor wins his second straight Emmy Award for best actor in a comedy series for his role in Amazon's Transparent.

The series, in which Tamobor plays a transgender woman, won its second primetime Emmy tonight following series creator Jill Soloway, who won an Emmy for best director. In accepting the award, Tambor urged Hollywood to provide more opportunities to transgender actors and actresses. 

Tambor bested Anthony Anderson, (black-ish), Aziz Ansari (Master of None), Will Forte (The Last Man on Earth), William H. Macy (Shameless), and Thomas Middleditch (Silicon Valley) for the award.
