Epix To Air Bute-Froch Boxing Match

Epix will continue its run of live championship boxing matches on May 26
with the live telecast of the Lucian Bute-Carl Froch super middleweight
championship fight.

Epix will air the live fight from England at 5 p.m. as the undefeated Bute puts his International Boxing Federation (IBF) super middleweight belt on the line against former division champion Froch. EpixHD.com will stream the fight live as part of a special free trial offer for boxing fans, said the network.

In addition, EPIX will once again present the closed-captioned simulcast of the
world championship bout on the jumbotron in Times Square in New York
City.

The fight follows Epix's recent live telecasts of three heavyweight championship boxing matches.

"EPIX is very pleased with the fan reaction and audience growth of its series of exclusive live U.S. telecasts of world championship fights," said Travis Pomposello, Epix CCO and executive producer of Epix Sports in a statement. "The fireworks Bute vs. Froch will produce is the perfect follow up to our unprecedented heavyweight championship trilogy which featured Wladimir Klitschko, Vitali Klitschko and Alexander Povetkin defending their world titles over three consecutive weeks (in February and March.)
