Erotic Networks Boost Revenue

The Erotic Networks parent New Frontier Media posted $11.2 million in third-quarter revenue in its pay TV group, up $200,000 from the $10.9 million it pulled this time last year.

While pay-per-view revenue increased 11% to $6.9 million, New Frontier said video-on-demand revenue from cable and hotel providers decreased 5% to $3.8 million. The company also saw revenue from C-band satellite customers drop 29% to $500,000.

New Frontier credited the increase in PPV revenue primarily to the launch of two of its services on DirecTV’s direct-broadcast platform.

Overall, New Frontier reported $16.6 million in third-quarter revenue (up 44%) and $3.4 million in net income (up 17%).
