ESPN Breaks X-Games Effort


ESPN today broke the marketing campaign behind the seventh version of its Winter X Games competition.

The campaign, created by Los Angeles based ad agency Ground Zero, showcases winter action-sports athletes practicing and honing their skills to perfection - whether perfection takes the form of pulling a big trick or cooking the perfect burrito on a snowmobile engine.The campaign, sporting the "Practice Makes Perfect" theme, features four 30-second spots featuring snowboarders Shaun White and Gretchen Bleiler, snowmobiler Tucker Hibbert and Moto X freestyle rider Nate Adams.The spots, touting the competition taking place in Aspen/Snowmass, Colo. from Jan. 24 to 27 that will air live on ESPN and ABC, will run on various ESPN networks.In addition, a print ad will run in ESPN the Magazine, spots will air on ESPN Radio Networks and ABC Radio Networks and various online elements will appear on ESPNMotion,'s area for high-quality video.Spots will also be made available on (
