ESPN Breaks X-Games Effort

ESPN today broke the marketing campaign behind the seventh version of its Winter X Games competition.

The campaign, created by Los Angeles based ad agency Ground Zero, showcases winter action-sports athletes practicing and honing their skills to perfection - whether perfection takes the form of pulling a big trick or cooking the perfect burrito on a snowmobile engine.The campaign, sporting the "Practice Makes Perfect" theme, features four 30-second spots featuring snowboarders Shaun White and Gretchen Bleiler, snowmobiler Tucker Hibbert and Moto X freestyle rider Nate Adams.The spots, touting the competition taking place in Aspen/Snowmass, Colo. from Jan. 24 to 27 that will air live on ESPN and ABC, will run on various ESPN networks.In addition, a print ad will run in ESPN the Magazine, spots will air on ESPN Radio Networks and ABC Radio Networks and various online elements will appear on ESPNMotion, ESPN.com's area for high-quality video.Spots will also be made available on EXPN.com (www.expn.com).
