ESPN Brings Indy 500 to World

ESPN will distribute the 2005 Indianapolis 500 worldwide, the network said Friday.

The all-sports network, which is the exclusive worldwide television representative of the IndyCar Series, will televise the race live to 146 countries. The race will reach over 338 million households via ESPN’s affiliates in Africa, Australia, Canada, Latin America, New Zealand, and the Middle East.

ESPN is also responsible for the global syndication of the Indy 500 in the Baltic States, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, the Netherlands and the U.K.
