ESPN Deportes will air more than 70 regular-season Major League Baseball games in Spanish this season, ESPN announced Wednesday.
The Spanish-language network’s season kicks off April 4 at 8 p.m. EST, when the Boston Red Sox visit the Baltimore Orioles.
ESPN Deportes will also air Sunday Night Baseball games, Wednesday-night doubleheaders, holiday games, the Home Run Derby, the Futures Game and the Triple-A All Star Game.
Veteran commentator Ernesto Jerez (play-by-play) and former MLB player Candy Maldonado (analyst) will return for a fourth consecutive season of MLB on ESPN Deportes.
Additional commentators Luis Alfredo Alvarez, Guillermo Celis and Fernando Alvarez will form a second telecast team to handle the increased schedule, the network said.
