ESPN announced an agreement Tuesday whereby it will supply College Television
Network with a daily sports-news segment.
The segment, produced by ESPN and distributed to college campuses by CTN,
will feature sportscasts with ESPNews commentators, sports footage, news and
highlights. Additionally, the deal -- struck with CTN parent College Television
Network Media Group -- calls for SportsCenter promos to run regularly on
CTN, which already airs ESPN programming.
Advertising sales will be handled jointly by both CTN and ESPN staffers.
CTN programming is currently available on more than 800 college and
university campuses and approximately 150 campus cable
