ESPN will celebrate fandom on the night that it commemorates its 25th anniversary with a half-hour special called Home and Away, featuring candid interviews with some of the most colorful sports fans in America.
Actor Barry Pepper will host the half-hour program, featuring interviews with some of the nation’s most colorful sports fans, at 6 p.m. ET Sept. 7 on ESPN2.
The special grew out of ESPN’s year-long The Season of the Fan marketing campaign, created by New York-based ad agency The Concept Farm. The campaign extended around the nation, with close to 1,000 interviews conducted and hundreds of hours of footage gathered over a nine-month span.
