If viewership on ESPN and ESPN2 is any indication, interest in “March Madness” could be especially keen for the upcoming NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Tournament.
The cable networks posted up their most-watched regular season ever with college hoops, according to company officials.
ESPN scored a 10% rise in ratings to a 1.1 average and a 14% jump in households to 966,000 for 113 games. Among men 18-34, ESPN recorded a 33% gain to an 0.8 mark.
ESPN2, meanwhile, registered a 4% jump in household delivery to 425,000 for 126 games, versus 100 games last season.
