ESPN Promotes Communication

ESPN announced a reorganization of its communications team.

Chris LaPlaca was promoted to senior vice president, communications, from senior VP, consumer communications.

VP, communications for domestic networks Mike Soltys will add increased responsibilities for all of ESPN’s domestic television and radio networks and ABC Sports, including oversight of ESPN Outdoors, BASS and the upcoming Monday Night Football and National Association for Stock Car Auto Racing series, as well as continuing to support communications efforts related to ESPN facilities and local- and state-government matters.

Katina Arnold was elevated to VP, communications for sales and marketing, international and new technologies. She had been VP, affiliate and international communications.

Rob Tobias was promoted to VP, public relations for new content, original entertainment and enterprises, from senior director.

Diane Lamb was elevated to VP, corporate information, from senior director.

And Josh Krulewitz was promoted from senior director to VP, PR for college, news and networks information.
