ESPN’s Driessen Is One of the Girls

Girls Inc. will honor ESPN executive vice president and chief financial officer Christine Driessen at its annual celebration luncheon March 23 in New York.

Each year, Girls Inc. -- a national organization that inspires girls to be strong, smart and bold -- honors women with notable achievements in their realms.

Driessen oversees all of ESPN’s financial and information-technology operations and serves as financial advisor on strategic planning for acquisitions, new business ventures and programming initiatives.

During her tenure with the sports programmer/content provider, she has played important roles in the launches of ESPN2, ESPNews and ESPN-The Magazine.
