ESPN To Televise Fiesta Bowl In 3D


ESPN 3D will ring in the new year by televising the Tostitos Fiesta Bowl in the enhanced format.

The contest, which will air on Saturday, Jan. 1, at 8:30 p.m. (ET) from Glendale, Ariz., is the second Bowl Championship Series contest, slated for the 3D network, which will air the national championship game on Jan. 10. at 8:30 p.m., also from Glendale.

Elsewhere, ESPN 3D will showcase the blue turf, when it airs the Nov. 6 matchup between Hawaii visiting No. 4 Boise State for a 3:30 p.m. Six days later, Boise State will play at Idaho on at 9 p.m. This will mark the second and third time Boise State has appeared on the new network having played the first game this year on Sept. 6.
In addition to the games announced today, ESPN 3D also plans to televise the ACC Championship game on Saturday, Dec. 4.

Sony is the official sponsor of college football on ESPN 3D, and college football games televised on ESPN 3D will utilize Sony professional cameras.
