ESPN is supporting the launch of its latest original program, Mohr Sports, with a multiplatform marketing campaign.
ESPN said the campaign for the weekly entertainment show, hosted by actor/comedian Jay Mohr, has already kicked off, employing promotional spots on ESPN, ESPN2, ESPN Classic and ESPNews.
The show is also being touted in ESPN-The Magazine and on ESPN Radio Network.
Mohr -- whose show will preview Tuesday, April 2, at 10 p.m. before assuming its regular late-night slot at 12:30 a.m. the following Tuesday -- is best known
for his work on NBC's Saturday Night Live and in Tom Cruise sports movie Jerry Maguire.
Mohr will offer his humorous insights on the sports world, as well as interviewing athletes
and featuring musical performances.
The campaign -- created by Los Angeles-based ad agency Ground Zero --
depicts Mohr as a weatherman, cooking-show host and the like by way of showing
that the brash actor does not fit anywhere else but ESPN.
