Kenneth L. Bagwell, 77, former president and CEO of cable operator Storer Communications, died March 30 at Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami Beach, Fla., according to a death notice published in the April 2 Miami Herald.
Bagwell’s tenure at Storer lasted from 1961 until his retirement in 1988, after Storer was sold to Tele-Communications Inc.
He served as a chairman of the CBS Television Affiliates Advisory Board and was a founding board member of C-SPAN. He was also a member of the Television Bureau of Advertising and the Broadcast Advisory Board of United Press International.
